WebFeb 19, 2011 · OK, so I fixed that problem with: sudo lpadmin -p HP_LaserJet_P1005 -u allow:all. I now have a new problem. When I send a document to print, it acts like it prints, it shows completed in the queue on the web interface and lpq shows the printer is ready and no entries for the queue, but nothing prints.

WebOct 19, 2002 · Big mistake. First I got a "client-error-not-authorised" but the printer WAS deleted. Then the gimp-print printer wouldn't print anything "could not open usb://epsonC40 etc etc : device not found". In the end I had to manually edit printers.conf (not what I really wanted to do) to remove the listed printers and start from scratch.
